This terms Cultural Day theme was based around Chinese New Year. Students took part in several activities throughout the day which included a Chinese Dragon Dance masterclass, students worked together in harmony to create the mesmerising dance of the dragon. Post 16 catering students cooked a range of tasty Chinese dishes, while primary and Key Stage 3 students completed several art projects which were used as back drops in the dining room for a special authentic Chinese lunch. 9E students worked together to decorate the dining room in preparation for lunch. Students had the opportunity to try several dishes and were challenged to eat them using chopsticks. To end the day all students were given a lucky Chinese enveloped containing a chocolatey treat. Our next Cultural Day is on 10th March and will be based around the Hindu festival of Holi.
