Dear Parents / Carers
I am sure you have been watching the news coverage over the last few days with interest, trying to clarify what this will mean for your family. These remain very challenging times and I am aware of the huge anxiety many of you are feeling towards your own situations and especially those of the boys.
The government guidance is that selected year groups including Year 6 return to school after Half Term break, with Years 10 and 12 to have limited face to face lessons in a subject that will lead to an external examination in June 2021, and that schools continue to provide care for children of key workers. Ripplevale School will be open to those groups and Senior Leadership Team will be contacting them directly to discuss the return to school.
To comply with the government guidance Ripplevale School will employ a range of strategies to maintain safety in school for both students and staff. I am confident that the hygiene and our safety measures in school are excellent and we will endeavour to mitigate risks through smaller classes and social distancing wherever possible.
If you have any concerns about the provision of care for your son or you have concerns around your son or ward’s well being please feel free to ring me directly on my mobile on 07595708251.
For those boys who remain at home there will be online resources and continued support. I would like to thank all of you for continuing to do your best with the online resources and education at home.
Transport will need to be arranged for students who wish to return to school. If you have any questions regarding transport and social distancing within them, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued cooperation and patience and if you need any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
In addition to the resources available in the student area of the website we are now using Google Classroom.
Full details and Invites will be sent to students and classes via parent email accounts.
Full details are also available on the Letters to parents page
